Corrine Hunter, Education Director
Corrine Hunter is the Founder and CEO of A Nail Above the Rest Education Facility and a passionate advocate for excellence in nail and esthetics education. She proudly welcomes you to a learning environment built on experience, integrity, and a genuine commitment to student success.
Corrine began her career as a Nail Technician in 1980, completing her professional training in Dallas, Texas. Over the decades, her journey through the industry has been both diverse and accomplished. She has worked as a Nail Technician, Salon Owner, Nail Competitor, Manufacturing Educator, and Competition Nail Judge—each role giving her a deep, real-world understanding of the challenges and opportunities professionals face at every stage of their careers.
Working hands-on in the industry for many years allowed Corrine to experience firsthand the evolving demands placed on today’s estheticians and nail professionals. This insight inspired her to create A Nail Above the Rest Education Facility—a training school dedicated to raising industry standards through high-quality education, practical skills, and ongoing mentorship. As a recognized continuing education facility with the Canadian government, A Nail Above the Rest ensures every student receives an official T2202 tax receipt, reinforcing the value and credibility of their professional training.
At A Nail Above the Rest, Corrine believes that education is the foundation of long-term success. Alongside a team of top industry professionals, she ensures students receive current, relevant training, strong technical skills, and the confidence needed to thrive in an ever-changing market. The school’s expertise, passion, and continued student support have made it a trusted “go-to” resource for education at all levels.

Holly White, Fort McMurray Educator
Holly White is the dedicated Fort McMurray educator for A Nail Above the Rest, bringing passion, encouragement, and real-world experience to students at Keyano College.
Originally from Newfoundland, Holly made Fort McMurray her home nearly two decades ago. Her path into the nail industry is a true testament to the power of following your passion. After working as a warehouse technician, Holly chose to pursue a career change by enrolling in a gel nail course—and from that moment on, she never looked back.
Holly received her Nail Technician Certification through A Nail Above the Rest in October 2010, laying the foundation for a successful and fulfilling career. She went on to build and operate her home-based business, Sparkle Tips by Holly, where her commitment to quality and client care quickly earned her a loyal following. In 2020, she expanded her services by completing her Pedicure training through A Nail Above the Rest, and later continued to elevate her expertise by earning her Certified Master Pedicurist credentials through the North American School of Podology.
As an educator, Holly brings both heart and hands-on knowledge into the classroom. She currently instructs the Nail Technician and Manicure/Pedicure Technician programs at Keyano College, where she is known for keeping students engaged, confident, and excited to apply their new skills. Her supportive teaching style encourages students to grow, ask questions, and believe in their potential.
Beyond the classroom, Holly is deeply committed to the Fort McMurray nail community. She actively supports local professionals through her Facebook group, @Fort Mac Certified Nail Technicians, where she generously shares her knowledge, answers questions, and goes above and beyond to help others succeed.
Holly’s journey—from career changer to business owner to educator—serves as a powerful reminder that with the right education, dedication, and support, a rewarding future in the nail industry is truly possible.
