Policy and Class Preparation

A Nail Above the Rest courses are designed to foster professional standards for aspiring students. They are ideal for students that enjoy creativity, artistry, interacting with people, and who possess a passion for learning. We focus on delivering clear, concise and concrete training, built upon a comprehensive curriculum. 

 

How To Register

50% of your tuition fee is due upon registration in the course. The remaining balance will be paid 3 weeks prior to the class start date. Once you have successfully registered you will receive your manual which will enable you time to complete your homework assignments Prior to Day 1. THESE ARE MANDATORY ASSIGNMENTS.

To register for one of our courses please complete the registration form online or call the office and speak to our Education Coordinator. 

  

Cancellation Policy

It is important to note that it is A Nail Above the Rest’s cancellation policy that students who must withdraw from a course will receive a refund less a $500 cancellation fee. Registrations cancelled less than two weeks of a course start date will not be eligible for a refund. Unless otherwise stated, full refunds will be provided if A Nail Above the Rest cancels a course.

 

Models

Models are absolutely necessary. Your models should be willing to be patient while you are learning. This is necessary for your learning process. Please ensure your model requirements are met prior to your start date. A Nail Above The Rest does not supply models. Only models will be allowed in class. We cannot accommodate visitors or children sitting in class. The models cannot be an esthetician or nail technician.

 

Professionalism

As a professional school, we consider etiquette and professionalism of the utmost importance and hold our students to a high standard. Professionalism is an important part of the salon and will be part of your grade; dialogue with your model is also evaluated so please treat them as you would a client.

  • Arrive on time in professional attire.
  • Manual with required homework assignments finished. Pen and Highlighter.
  • Cell phones turned off or on vibrate.
  • No Children allowed in class.

 

Exam Reschedule Policy

The cost of the originally scheduled exam is included in your course fees. However, if you are unable to attend the scheduled exam date, you will be charged $150 to reschedule your exam for a later date.

 

Passing Grade

Our passing grade is 80% overall on the written and the practical. So please take the necessary time to read and study your manual and practice.
